Are we separate?

Everyday life feels divided into me and not-me: my body here, the world out there, my thoughts inside your words outside.

That boundary is useful. It helps you navigate traffic, honor another person's privacy, and know where your responsibility begins. Yet the same boundary becomes a question when teachings speak of unity, emptiness, Self, or God—not as poetry only, but as claims about what is most real.
